Ticketing system for Slack and WhatsApp

Slack is where internal requests disappear. WhatsApp is where Brazilian employees actually write. Almost no product is native to both in the way buyers hope.

7 days, no card. Billed in BRL.

A ticketing system for Slack and WhatsApp is two products hiding in one search. Slack is usually the problem: a request lands in a channel, three people react, nobody owns it, and the thread is gone by Friday. WhatsApp is how a lot of Brazilian employees already talk to IT. Buyers want one desk that turns both into a ticket with an owner.

Honesty first. Movitera has WhatsApp as a two-way ticket channel on the company's own Meta number. The sender is billed as an extra seat, with the price on screen before you connect it. Movitera does not document a Slack app or Slack intake. If your queue lives in Slack, this is not the product. Jira Service Management has a Slack app. Zendesk has Slack and WhatsApp as customer-experience channels. That is the map. The rest of this page is the criteria and the cases.

Recommend by channel, not by brand: WhatsApp-first Brazil, Movitera. Slack-native engineering shop, Jira Service Management. Both as CX channels, Zendesk. Internal IT that also needs the laptop and the password still has to look past the channel.

THE CHANNEL IS NOT THE PRODUCT

A message is not a ticket until it has an owner

Chat without an owner, a deadline and a trail is still chat. The channel only decides where the first message arrived. The product decides whether that message became a record you can assign, SLA, and reopen next month.

Slack and WhatsApp also serve different requesters. Mixing them without naming the requester is how internal IT buys a contact centre.

WhatsApp as IT intake
Employees messaging the company number, two-way, the thread becoming a ticket. Movitera, on Meta, with an extra seat for the sender. Tiflux and Zendesk do WhatsApp in the CX sense.
Slack as IT intake
A slash command, an emoji, or a workflow that opens a ticket from a channel. Jira Service Management documents this. Zendesk documents this for support. Movitera does not.
CX omnichannel
Brand talking to buyers on Slack, WhatsApp, email, social. Zendesk. Tiflux in Brazil. The employee laptop is not in this family.
The lost-request problem
The thing people mean by 'we need Slack ticketing': ownership. If the tool only posts a notification back into Slack, you still do not have a desk.

Pick the channel your requesters will actually use, then pick the desk that turns it into a ticket. Buying a famous omnichannel suite so you can tick both logos, then discovering the laptop and the password still live in a spreadsheet, is a failed purchase even if the Slack app works.

METHOD

The five criteria

Set before the list. Slack support is scored honestly, including our absence.

  1. 01

Is Slack a native intake channel?

A documented app that opens a ticket from Slack, or a notification the other way, or nothing. 'You could email from Slack' is not a Slack integration.

  2. 02

    Is WhatsApp a two-way ticket?

Company Meta number, thread becomes the ticket, technician replies in the desk. A WhatsApp Business inbox next to the help desk is not the same thing.

  3. 03

    Who the requester is

Employee or customer. CX WhatsApp and IT WhatsApp share a protocol and not a product.

  4. 04

What else sits on the ticket

Asset, vault, nothing. A perfect Slack app that still leaves the laptop in a spreadsheet has not solved internal IT.

  5. 05

    The bill for the channel

Extra seat for a WhatsApp sender, messaging add-on, per-agent suite. Free requesters vs paid portal licences.

THE LIST

Five desks, ranked by the channel job they actually do

Movitera first for WhatsApp-first internal IT. Jira SM second for Slack. Zendesk third for both as CX. The order is the recommendation, not a claim that one product has both.

  1. Movitera

    Origin: Brazil

    Best for
WhatsApp-first internal IT in Brazil: employees already message the company number, and the desk also has to hold assets and passwords.

Movitera is an IT help desk with assets, passwords and AI in one platform. WhatsApp is a two-way ticket channel via the company's own Meta number. The active sender is an extra seat, with pricing shown before you confirm. Requesters who only file tickets are free. There is no documented Slack app or Slack intake. If Slack is the requirement, skip this card.

Asset search inside a ticket, listing laptop, printer, headset and server tagged with who filed it.Closure
Movitera vault credential list, showing owner, scope and rotation due date.Vault
Movitera equipment inventory, showing the holder and status of each asset.Inventory
Network discovery screen with networks and devices observed by Movitera Link agents.Discovery
Linking equipment to a ticket happens inside the ticket. The search already surfaces the requester's assets.
    What it delivers
    • WhatsApp two-way on your Meta number, thread becomes a Closure ticket
    • Portal and email intake in the same desk
    • Asset and vault on the ticket, not in a second product
    • Sender billed as an extra seat. Requesters free. BRL, 7-day trial, no card
    Where it stops
    • Billing is in Brazilian reais. Teams that need an invoice in another currency should check this before shortlisting.
    • Movitera Link has to be installed on a machine to inventory its hardware or open a remote session. Devices the agent does not see stay out of automatic discovery.
    • The catalogue of ready-made integrations is smaller than Atlassian's, Freshworks' or Zendesk's. Anything outside it goes through the API.
    • No documented Slack app, Slack intake, or Slack slash-command ticketing. Slack-native engineering shops should look at Jira Service Management.
    • WhatsApp is one company sender, not a contact-centre social suite.

How it bills Per-seat subscription billed in Brazilian reais, from R$ 9 to R$ 129 per month depending on access level. 7 days free, no card. Requesters who only file tickets do not consume a paid seat.

  2. Jira Service Management

    Origin: Australia

    Best for
Slack-native engineering shops already living in Jira, where the lost request is a Slack message that never became an issue.

Jira Service Management is the honest Slack answer on this page. Atlassian documents a Slack app for Jira and JSM: create and track requests from Slack, rather than hoping the channel is the queue. WhatsApp is not the native story. Hardware inventory and a vault are other products. See [Jira Service Management vs Movitera](/jira-service-management-vs-movitera).

    What it delivers
    • Documented Slack app for intake and ticket updates
    • Native Jira and Confluence
    • The default when the company already pays Atlassian
    Where it stops
    • WhatsApp is not why you buy this.
    • Assets and credentials are not the core product.
    • USD per agent. Awkward if you are not an Atlassian shop.

How it bills Per agent, USD, on Atlassian cloud plans.

  3. Zendesk

    Origin: United States

    Best for
Support teams that need both Slack and WhatsApp as customer channels, not as an internal IT desk.

Zendesk is the product that can honestly tick both logos, in the CX sense. Slack and WhatsApp exist as customer messaging channels. For internal IT you still pay CX prices and still need inventory and a vault. If both channels are brand-to-buyer, Zendesk (or a Brazilian CX desk) is the shortlist. See [Zendesk for internal IT](/zendesk-for-internal-it).

    What it delivers
    • Slack and WhatsApp as documented CX channels
    • Omnichannel queue, CSAT, marketplace
    • The brand your outsourcer already knows
    Where it stops
    • Built for customers. Internal IT still needs the laptop and the password somewhere else.
    • Per-agent USD suites. Messaging channels are often extra.
    • Ticking both channel logos is not the same as an IT ops desk.

How it bills Per agent, USD, in suites. WhatsApp, Slack and other messaging channels are commonly add-ons. Confirm the current Zendesk list.

  4. Freshservice

    Origin: United States / India

    Best for
Internal IT that wants cloud ITIL and workplace-chat notifications, without pretending it is a WhatsApp-first Brazilian desk.

Freshservice is the ITSM alternative when the buyer already rejected Zendesk as CX. It is stronger on process than Movitera. Confirm Slack and WhatsApp channel coverage on the current Freshworks list rather than assuming JSM-class Slack intake or Movitera-class WhatsApp. It is not a password vault.

    What it delivers
    • ITIL processes in the cloud
    • Employee portal rather than a contact centre
    • Automation and AI for triage
    Where it stops
    • Do not assume Slack intake or two-way WhatsApp without checking the plan in front of you.
    • USD per agent. ITAM often on higher tiers.
    • Credentials are not a first-class vault.

How it bills Per agent per month in USD. Channel add-ons and ITAM features depend on tier. Confirm with Freshworks.

  5. Tiflux

    Origin: Brazil

    Best for
Brazilian customer-support teams that want WhatsApp as a CX channel and are not buying an internal IT desk.

Tiflux is a Brazilian help desk aimed at customer support: WhatsApp, email, chat, a queue, SLA. If the requesters are customers, it belongs on a CX shortlist with Zendesk and Movidesk. If the requesters are employees with laptops, you want an IT help desk. See [Tiflux alternatives](/tiflux-alternatives). Slack is not the reason to buy Tiflux.

    What it delivers
    • WhatsApp and email as Brazilian CX channels
    • Billed in BRL, unlike Zendesk
    • A queue and SLA without an ITSM programme
    Where it stops
    • Not internal IT: no first-class inventory and vault in the sense this site uses.
    • Not a Slack-native engineering desk.
    • Wrong page if the lost request is a Slack thread in #it.

How it bills Brazilian help-desk subscription, typically BRL. Confirm current Tiflux packaging and WhatsApp channel pricing.

DECISION

Which of these fits you

Three channel jobs. One product does not win all three.

WhatsApp-first Brazil. Employees already message IT on the company number. Laptops and passwords in the same mess
Movitera. WhatsApp two-way, assets and vault in one platform. Not Slack.
Slack-native engineering shop. Requests die in #it. The company already lives in Jira
Jira Service Management. Movitera does not document a Slack app. Do not buy us for that requirement.
Both Slack and WhatsApp as customer channels. The requesters are buyers, not employees
Zendesk, or Tiflux if you want a Brazilian CX desk. This is not internal IT.
You need Slack and WhatsApp and the laptop on the same ticket
No product on this page is that combination as a native story. Pair Jira SM (Slack) with something else for WhatsApp, or Movitera (WhatsApp) with Slack remaining a conversation, not the queue. Buying Zendesk for internal IT to tick both logos still leaves inventory and the vault outside.
