Install Movitera Link
Download the installer for your system, finish the install, and confirm the icon appears in the tray. macOS, Windows, and Linux each have their own steps.
Before you start
- An account at the company that uses Movitera®.
- Permission to install apps on this computer.
- macOS with Apple Silicon (M1 or newer), Windows 10/11, or a Linux distribution that supports AppImage or
.deb.
Always download from the official Movitera® download page (movitera.com/download).
macOS

Download the `.dmg` file.
On the download page, choose macOS. Movitera Link runs on Apple Silicon Macs.

Open the `.dmg` and drag Movitera Link to Applications.

Open Movitera Link for the first time.
The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally. If macOS blocks it, see Troubleshooting.

Download the `.msi` installer.
On the download page, choose Windows. Works on Windows 10 and 11.

Run the `.msi` and follow the installer.

If Windows shows the SmartScreen warning, click `More info`, then `Run anyway`.
The installer isn't signed yet in this version, so SmartScreen shows
Unknown publisher. This is expected.

Linux

Download the `.AppImage` or the `.deb`.
Use the
.debon Debian and Ubuntu; use the.AppImageon other distributions. - 2
AppImage: make the file executable and open it.

.deb: install it with the package manager.
bashsudo dpkg -i movitera-link_*.deb
The Movitera Link icon appears in the system tray.
Confirm the install
- The Movitera Link icon is in the tray (menu bar on macOS).
- When opened, the app shows the connection screen.
