SECURITYOverview
Security & data
What Movitera Link accesses, what it sends, and how this computer's access is protected.
What the app accesses
- This computer's hardware inventory: OS, processor, memory, disk, IP, MAC address, and battery.
- The list of installed software: name, version, and publisher of each application.
- When network discovery is on, the list of devices visible on the local network.
Movitera Link doesn't access your files, your passwords, or the Vault's contents. For software checks, it reads only the name, version, and publisher of each application — it does not read the contents of any installed program.
How the connection is protected
- The connection to your company is made once, in the browser, and is saved only on this computer.
- Access is restricted to this device and only allows sending inventory — it grants no read access to anything.
- Access expires and can be revoked by your administrator at any time.
Installers
- macOS: the app is signed and notarized by Apple.
- Windows: the
.msiinstaller isn't signed yet in this version, so SmartScreen showsUnknown publisher. - Updates are verified before they're installed.
