CYCLESGuide

Complete a cycle

Completing a cycle closes the window and requires a decision for every open issue: where it goes. Set a default action and adjust the exceptions issue by issue.

Complete the cycle

  1. 1

Open the active cycle in `Ciclos` (Cycles) and click `Concluir ciclo` (Complete cycle).

    The dialog sums up the cycle: “X de Y concluídas · Z aberta(s)” (X of Y completed · Z open).

  2. 2

Choose the `Ação padrão` (Default action) for the open issues.

Próximo ciclo (Next cycle) moves them to the following cycle. Ciclo específico (Specific cycle) asks for the destination in Selecionar ciclo destino (Select target cycle). Backlog takes the issue out of any cycle. Manter neste ciclo (Keep in this cycle) leaves everything as is.

  3. 3

Adjust exceptions in the `Issues abertas` (Open issues) list.

Each row has its own destination selector. Change only the issues that need a different destination — the override counter shows in the footer.

  4. 4

    Confirm with `Concluir ciclo`.

The cycle moves to the completed list and the open issues follow the chosen destination.

With no open issues, the dialog says “Sem issues abertas. O ciclo pode ser concluído diretamente.” (No open issues. The cycle can be completed directly.) and completion is immediate.

“Backlog” here is not the board column

In the completion dialog, Backlog means removing the issue from the cycle — it becomes Sem ciclo (No cycle). The issue's status on the board doesn't change.

After completing

The cycle's Retro tab shows the final analysis — “Taxa de conclusão” (Completion rate), “Carryover”, and “Variação de escopo” (Scope change). With the cycle completed, the Gerar notas de release (Generate release notes) button becomes available to sum up the delivery in a Wiki page.
