Organize domains

Domains group initiatives by product area or team — Payments, Growth, Platform. They are the first step of planning: without at least one domain, you can't create initiatives.

Create a domain

  1. 1

    Open `Domains` in the Forge sidebar and click `Novo domain` (New domain).

  2. 2

    Give it a `Nome` (Name) and, if you want, a `Descrição` (Description).

    Use the area's name — the field itself suggests: “Ex.: Pagamentos, Growth, Plataforma” (e.g., Payments, Growth, Platform).

  3. 3

    Click `Criar domain` (Create domain).

    The domain appears in the list with a DOM-n code and the initiative counter.

Domains unlock initiatives

The Nova iniciativa (New initiative) button stays disabled while the team has no domain — the command palette shows the hint “Crie um domain primeiro” (Create a domain first). Create the first domain before planning initiatives.

Edit and explore

  • To rename or describe a domain, open the row's ⋯ menu and click Editar (Edit).
  • Each row's initiative counter leads to that domain's initiative list.
  • Clicking the row opens the domain detail, with the Visão geral (Overview) and Repositórios (Repositories) tabs — where admins link GitHub repositories to the area.
