Authenticate sensitive actions

Some Movitera® actions require a recent second-factor confirmation, even with you already signed in. Learn when the prompt appears, how to confirm it, and what the sidebar's Autenticar (authenticate) button shows.

When the extra confirmation is required

The confirmation protects what has the most impact on your account and team. It is valid for a short period; once that passes, the next sensitive action asks again. These require a recent confirmation:

  • Revealing credentials in Vault.
  • Saving the team's name and Identificador (identifier).
  • Creating an access token.
  • Showing the passkey list in your Profile.
  • Authorizing the CLI, Movitera Link, or an AI client.

Confirm when the dialog opens

  1. 1

Carry on with the action as usual.

When the confirmation has expired, the dialog opens on its own with the message "Verify your identity to continue".

  2. 2

Confirm with one of your methods.

Choose between Use passkey, Authenticator app, and Recovery code.

    result
The pending action picks up where it left off — you don't need to redo it.

If you close the dialog

The action is cancelled and not executed — repeat it and confirm the second factor. On the authorization screens for the CLI, Movitera Link, and AI clients, the notice "Autenticação de dois fatores cancelada. Tente novamente." (two-factor authentication cancelled — try again) confirms the cancellation.

Use the sidebar's Autenticar button

The padlock button at the bottom of the sidebar shows the state of your confirmation:

  • Autenticar (authenticate) — no active confirmation. Click to open the "Autenticação de dois fatores" (two-factor authentication) dialog and confirm before a run of sensitive actions.
  • Green countdown ("X minutos" / "X segundos") — confirmation active. Nothing to do until it expires.
  • Habilitar MFA (enable MFA) — your account has no second factor yet. The button takes you to registration.
