Track warranties

Record each asset's warranties to see the expiration before it happens — and so the Incidents tab can warn you when equipment loses coverage.

Add a warranty

  1. 1

Open the asset in `Items` and go to the `Garantias` (Warranties) tab.

With no records, the tab shows "Nenhuma garantia adicionada" (no warranty added).

  2. 2

    Click `Adicionar garantia` (Add warranty).

Fill in the required fields: Tipo de garantia (Warranty type — for example, "Garantia do fabricante", the manufacturer's warranty), Fornecedor (Vendor), Data de início (Start date), and Data de fim (End date). If you have them, also record the Número do contrato (Contract number) and the Detalhes da cobertura (Coverage details).

  3. 3

Confirm with `Adicionar garantia` (Add warranty).

    result
Toast "Garantia criada com sucesso" (Warranty created successfully). The warranty appears as a card with the countdown to the end date.

Where the warranty works for you

The asset's Incidentes (Incidents) tab uses warranties as a risk signal: it highlights "Sem garantia ativa" (no active warranty) and "Garantia expira em N dias" (warranty expires in N days) next to the Closure tickets linked to the asset. Equipment with frequent incidents and a warranty about to expire is a candidate for replacement — or for disposal.
